The Game!

Yesterday had to have been one of the best days for Jake. Brad took him down to Salt Lake and test drove all the trucks he wanted to drive, they had a BLAST!! Not only did they get to do that, they had tickets to the Jazz vs. Toronto game! These weren't your normal seats, no no, they were Section 1 row 1 seats 11 and 12!!! They were right under the hoop! They could see everything!! They got to go have dinner in the VIP room before the game and have snacks in there during half time! What did I do you ask? Oh just some laundry and cleaning... yep I got left home!! Love you too boys, thanks for that! :) I think the pictures above can show how much fun they really had, try and see which one is Jake's favorite!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Everyone knows that when I am in the kitchen cooking they had better get out of my way!!! Or Else!! We had a great Thanksgiving, it was so awesome to have all the kids, their spouses, grandkids, my parents and a guy named Israel from Brad's ward all here for Thanksgiving. We had a great time eating, eating, eating and finally playing pictionary, pool, and a little rock band. Even great grandma got into playing the rockband. Thanks everyone for a great day!!!

Hangin With The Girls!

So, for my birthday Beckie took me to see my favorite show "Good Things Utah." It was so much fun! After the show we got to go down on stage and have our picture taken with the girls. We sat and talked with them for awhile, they even thought Beckie and I were sisters...guess I don't look as old as I feel. By the end of show we felt like we were best friends. Thanks Beckie for such a fun day!!!

An Awesome Day!

Our family had a great and special day on Saturday. Jake went through the Ogden Temple to receive his endowment. It was the first time that we actually had all of our children and their spouses in the temple. What a great blessing that was. Jake was really funny when he got inside the temple, becasue he was able to just walk by the waiting area knowing that he would never have to go in there again. Brad and I are so grateful that they have all chosen to stay close to the church and to each other. It also was so great to have my parents and my sister be able to share in this great day.

Pay Back!!

Last week one of Jake's friends, Gavin Garside, decided to play a prank on Jake. Well Jake laughed at first then started to plan his revenge with the help of two of his other friends; Jason and Sam, this is what they did! They first went to Beus Pond, just a couple of minutes from our house, and raked up about 10 HUGE bags of leaves! Then they went to the institute class that Gavin and Jake had that night. Jake told Gvain he was going to be late so that Gavin wouldnt suspect anything when Jake wasnt there. Jake put Gavin's truck on Jack Stands and completly filled his truck from the floor to the ceiling with leaves, also the bed of his truck and all over the top! Needless to say Gavin was very shocked!!

I Double Dog Dare Ya........

This year Landon's costume fit his personality perfectly. Landon was non other than Evil Knievel...Dare Devil Himself. Landon loves to climb on the couch, table and chairs and then just fall onto the hard floor. He also is well known in the family for his kiss and head-butt goodbye. What out for this kid!!!

Aarrgghh..........

Boston was a young Jack Sparrow. As we all know how much his Mom loves that character. Boston didn't seem to care, he just had alot of fun just walking around and looking adorable. Brad and Beckie worked hard with him so he could say...Aarrgghh!!

Trick or Treat

Miss Livie was Tinkerbell. What a cutie!! I don't know why but grandpa likes to call her Stinkerbell. Her personality is so fun and playful just like Tinkerbell.

Happy Halloween

Hannah was Sharpay from High School Musical.
As you can tell she has the attitude down to a tee. :) Grandpa kept trying to mess up her name and was calling her Sharpet, Sharpoo and Churpay. Hannah always corrected him just as Sharpay would do.

Obama and McCain.........

Josh & Bo came this year dressed as Obama and McCain!! It was so funny, they played the part perfectly. When I answered the door it really took me a minute to realize who they were. Great Job guys!!!!!

Do the Starfish..........or NOT!!!

This was our fun filled day on the GREAT island of Haiti. Everyone had this big idea that they wanted to go do the 1800 foot zipline called the Dragon' s Rock. It was the scariest thing I have ever done. Of course I was the only one who didn't like it. We were told by our instructor that we needed to ride the Zipline in the "Starfish" position. This was both arms and legs sticking out and with your chest pushing forward against the harness. It was all fun and games for everyone else but me. I couldn't seem to let go of the straps. So that is why in the picture everyone is doing the "Starfish" and I am doing what I did, just holding on for dear life. The funny part is, at the end of the line your suppose to hold the harness..... Oh but not me, I listened to the guy at the end who told me to do the "Starfish" and I believed him just to have me hit the brakes at the end and my sunglasses went flying into the bushes. I still think they are
laughing about the stupid lady from Utah.

Dunn's River Falls.......Ocho Rios, Jamaica

This is the Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. I think everyone would tell you that this was their favorite thing to do. We hiked up the face of the waterfall, it was a riot. In some spots it was kinda scary, it was very slippery so we all had to hold hands and help each other up. The water was freezing!!! I don't think anyone fell but Beckie. I was ahead of her and told her to watch out for this hole, but I forgot to tell her about a tree. So she ran right into the tree because she was so concerned about not falling into the hole. Sorry Beck!!!!!

TULUM

This picture was taken at the Mayan Ruins in Tulum. It was awesome to see them, we had heard so much about them. It is something that I have always wanted to see, but I don't think I would go there again. It was an extremely long day, and we almost missed our lobster dinner. Oh that would not have been pretty. Jake tried lobster that night for the first time. He did not like it one bit!!!! Can you believe that??? What is wrong with that kid. :)

I've been tagged....What the HECK is a tag!!!

1. I am deathly afraid of spiders and snakes (even the plastic kind) Anything of the creepy, crawly, slithery, black, hairy kind. Even talking about it gives me the creeps. I think I better go call my exterminator. YUK!!!!
2. Having said what I did in the number one answer......My favorite holiday is Halloween!
Go figure!!!
3. No matter what I have for breakfast I have to have a Diet Coke with it.
4. I get the newspaper every morning. I skim through the news, but I really only read the obits........I must be really warped!!!
5. Brad said that I had to add this one. It really isn't true but.......I am a bed hog!!! What more can I say, other than he is just always in the spot that I want to be in.
6. I really love to watch all the cooking shows. In fact I usually tevo most of them so I don't miss anything........but I HATE to cook. Go figure!!!!
7. Last but not least......I don't have road rage. I just own the whole road when I'm on it.

Trying to look respectable...........

This is the first "Formal" night. The dinning room was amazing
and so was "most" of the food. We tried escargot (snails).
Adam ordered them and I was really surprised at
how good they were. Beckie didn't think so, and we couldn't
even get anyone else to try them.
EVERYONE CLEANS UP SO WELL!! :)

Jamaica......... Ya Mon! No Problem!

We must be crazy!!!! We are on our way back from snorkeling and the Dunn's waterfall. This was a Catamaran, we were just getting pounded by the waves. So lucky that the net didn't break!!!

The Caribbean will never be the same!!!!!!!

Ready or not here we come!! Just before we boarded the Mariner of the Seas. I don't think anyone on the ship was ready for the Sawyer Clan. By time the cruise was finished everyone wanted to come to Utah. They couldn't believe we could have that much fun and NOT drink!

This past week some of the guys from our student ward invited me to a golf tournament. We got to pick our own teams of whoever we wanted. Most of you may already know this but for those of you who dont, my boys and husband all love to golf. They go as much as they can and are always doing very well! Of course my team won, we were 7 under thanks to my amazing putting skills!! Maybe next year they will have a better chance!

A Day at the Splash Park with Grandma, Uncle Jake & Aunt Jeana!!!!!

A couple of weeks ago Jake and I got to spend the afternoon with all the grandkids. We decided to take them to the newly built splash park that is just down the street from us! Landon wanted to jump in every mud pit or splash of water he could find, he was having so much fun!! We loved watching Hannah and Livie following each other, meeting new friends and laughing. Boston, sat right next to us and ate his chicken nuggets, on occasion he would sneak over to the other kids and see what they had to eat so we would go chase him down! That little kid is fast!!

The Tri-athlete!

Brad for the past 2 and a half months has been training for a Triathlon that the kids in his ward wanted him to do. He would get up early in the morning and either go running, swimming or biking. Well today he had to put the training to the test! Brad took 7th in his division, we're all so proud of him and this great accomplishment!!!! Brad had so much fun and is already talking about doing the next one in Las Vegas. Way to go!!!!!! We love you!!!

Last Time Boating!! :(

Jason Lang, Mike Acord, Jake, Sam Malachowski, Cameron Schroeder

So last Tuesday Jake and 4 of his friends went boating for Jake's last time for 2 years! All they did was ride the tube! Eventually it turned into King of the Tube. These boys were so much fun to watch laughing, screaming, and a little whining! After a lot of bruises and pain, I think we all had a great last time!

4th of July!

Every year as a family we go to the Clearfield Fireworks. They are so amazing we always get there early to save our perfect spot and eat all the junk food that we can! With that also comes the bordom of just sitting and waiting for the show to start. This year was no different, so take up our time the kids and grandkids decided to have a push-up contest, sit-up contest and finally wrestling. Like usual I snapped the perfect picture at the perfect time. We always have such a great time whenever we get together, just another great memory we can share!

The Super Mable

Our family LOVES to go boating! Whenever we do it's not about the skiing or wakeboarding, no no, The Super Mable is where it's at! This is a 3-man tube with 52 handles on it, so if you start to fall off just start grabbing! So we were at Bear Lake with a couple of friends, while we were on the boat the boys wanted to see how much air they could get, so sure enough Brad was more than willing to send them flying! With me on the camera, we were just waiting to see the looks on their faces! Sure enough like this picture so accurately describes the boys were all peeing their pants, but if you were to ask them now if they were scared they would just say oh no! We figured from this picture that the boys were about 5 1/2 feet above the water! They landed it perfectly nobody fell off, but as soon as it landed we all just started laughing, its a great memory we all get to share now! Hopefully this summer we will be able to out-do ourselves!! We look forward to the boys stupidity!

The Grandkids

We are so lucky to have the cutest and funnest grandkids in the world! Brad and Beckie have their 3 kids Hannah (6), Livie (4), and Boston (1 1/2). Then, Adam and Jeana have one Landon (almost 2). Hannah is the ring leader of them all and is always finding new friends. Livie is the quiet but deadly one, she will love you with her big eyes and have you giving her whatever she wants! Landon is the tank, he will run into a wall or jump off the couch just to see if the floor can handle it, he loves pain! A good thing once hockey comes around. Finally, Boston this kid never stops smiling he loves to see and play with new people, he always brightens our day! We love all of our grandkids so much, we just cant wait to get more!!!
