Sawyer Family Halloween Party

Last night was our Annual Halloween Party. The theme for this year was "Famous Couples." Everyone's costume turned out great, and it was a lot of fun to see what they came dressed as. We had a great night decorating cookies with the grandkids, and playing "Don't Eat Casper." Then the adults played "Battle of the Sexes Halloween Charades." Anyone that knows our family knows that we are extremely competitive. The boys usually win only because they CHEAT!!! So I am so excited to finally say that... THE GIRLS WON!!! The believe the finale score was 99 to 95 GO GIRLS!!! We are looking forward to next years party and oh by the way the theme for 2010 will be..."Favorite Disney Characters."

I'm Back.....

So after 5 long months I think we have finally got our life together enough that I can continue my blog. Brad is back at work with High Mark Financial Group, and Jake is back on his mission. Everything in our world is going GREAT! As a matter of fact Brad and I just got home from a week long cruise we took for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We went to Aruba, Curacao, Dominica and St. Thomas.

This is the island of Dominica up in the rain Forest. We went to see the Emerald Pool. It was amazing!!! We jumped in to get our picture by the waterfall, but the water was so cold it took your breath away. Afterward we floated down the river (which was much warmer) on tubes. I wish we could have taken the camera, Oh Well!!! So Fun!!!

Brad being so silly in St. Thomas. This was the last day of the cruise and we were exhausted. We stayed pretty close to the ship and just did a little shopping. Brad don't you remember DO NOT TOUCH THE GOSH DANG TURTLE!!!

We are on the ship right outside the theatre.

Outside our hotel room in San Juan.

Brad looking so much like a tourist.

Dad's Birthday

My great Dad had his 79th birthday yesterday. We got all the family together and had cake and ice cream. I think he was a little overwhelmed especially when he saw the two cakes that had all 79 candles on them. Brad, Jake and I gave Dad a self propelled lawnmower. It would take Dad a couple of days to mow his really small yard with his normal mower. So now all he has to do is simply walk behind this one and guide it along. Hope you enjoy it Dad. We love you.

Hannah's Award & Talent Show

Hannah had a great award and talent show last week. She got the wonderful award for achievement in art. She loves to color and make great pictures, and she is really quite good (if I do say so myself...the ever proud gramdmother.) She also played the piano, she is really amazing for a 7 year old. Holy Cow is she really 7????? I really am getting old. GREAT JOB HANNAH! We love you!

Landon & the Lawnmower

We had Adam & Landon over a few weeks ago to watch the hockey game and have dinner. Landon wasn't to interested in the game, all he wanted to do was have his favorite uncle Jake take him for a ride on the lawnmower. He loves it!!! Jake can hardly get him off.
